Designer Masaba Gupta, the youngest fashion director at Satya Paul, says she would love to drape more Bengali belles with her modern robes which have classical touches.
"Bengali women look so beautiful. They dress very aesthetically and elegantly but with classical touch ... My store offers a special line on this city of Mother Goddess with images of Durga designed on signature silhouettes and saris," she told PTI here yesterday.
Masaba, the daughter of actress Neena Gupta and West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards, opened her first flagship store 'Masaba' in the eastern part of the country here.

"My core area remains print and for the Bengali women I have bathed them with red-white-gold hues - which is a classic combination," said Masaba, who designed the popular lipstick print saris of Satya Paul and is known for using bold fluroscent colours.
"I pin lots of hopes about how the girls look at my creations, which are modern but have a retro feel," said the 24-year-old fashion designer who has created outfits for Bollywood actors and fashionistas Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Mandira Bedi.
Talking about the wardrobes of Masaba, who was mentored by celebrity designer Wendell Rodricks, mother-daughter duo Moonmoon Sen-Riya Sen said, "We love Masaba's linen. Both of us love to wear them.
"We love the range - from lovely scarves to exquisite sarees," they added.
