Designer Masaba Gupta's collection at the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week here will bear influences from paintings and watercolour along with horse, which she believes is the spirit animal of "freedom".

Masaba will present her line "On Your Mark" at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015 scheduled from August 26 to 30.

"We have taken inspiration from paintings and watercolour rendering along with horse- the spirit animal of freedom, its prowess and energy. In a nutshell, the winter/festive collection enunciates high spirit and dynamism," Masaba told PTI.

Through her collection, Masaba will be blending the watercolour splatter and brush strokes with surreal horse art. The colour story for her line would include red, white among other shades.

"We have synthesised and inter-blended the classics of red, white and black on coarse poplin and a flowy tabby silk which contribute in making the collection story experimental yet bold," Masaba said.

Masaba, whose shows often see the presence of Bollywood stars on the ramp, feels they enhance the beauty and enigma of the collection.

"When Bollywood stars and their aura come together with a designer's art or creation, it lifts the beauty, enigma and drama of the show but having said that, the star should have a synergy with the brand," she said.

She, however, is yet decide about the showstopper this time.
