Masoor, arhar rise on scattered demand

Prices of masoor and arhar moved up by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on the back of scattered demand from retailers amid restricted supplies from producing belts.

Marketmen said mild demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in masoor and arhar prices.

In the national capital, masoor small and bold rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,550-6,650 and Rs 6,550-6,750 per quintal, respectively. Its dal local and best quality were up by a similar margin to Rs 7,600-7,700 and Rs 7,700-7,800 per quintal.

Arhar and its dal dara variety also went up by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,050-7,100 and Rs 8,400-8,600 per quintal.

Masoor small Rs 6,550-6,650, bold Rs 6,550-6,750, Dal Masoor local Rs 7,600-7,700, best quality Rs 7,700-7,800, Malka local Rs 7,700-8,050, best Rs 7,800-8,100, Moth Rs 5,500-5,800, Arhar Rs 7,050-7,100, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 8,400-8,600.

Gram Rs 4,300-5,000, Gramdal (local) Rs 4,600-4,800, best quality Rs 4,700-5,000, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,060, Rajdhani Rs 2,060, Rajma Chitra Rs 4,600-5,700, Kabuli Gram small Rs 4,200-6,400, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,200-5,600, Peas white Rs 2,775-2,800 and green Rs 2,775-2,875.
