Masoor and its dal prices advanced by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market Friday on the back of strong demand from dal mills against restricted arrivals from growing regions.
However, other pulses moved in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled at previous levels.
Traders said rising demand from dal mills against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing belts, kept masoor and its dal prices to trade higher.
In the national capital, masoor small and bold strengthened by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,850-4,100 and Rs 3,900-4,200 per quintal, respectively. Its dal local and best quality traded higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 4500-4900 and Rs 4,600-5,000 per quintal.

Masoor small Rs 3,850-4,100, bold Rs 3,900-4,200, Dal Masoor local Rs 4,500-4,900, best quality Rs 4,600-5,000, Malka local Rs 4,550-4,850, best Rs 4,650-4,950, Moth Rs 3,800-4,200, Arhar Rs 3,650 and Dal Arhar Dara Rs 4,900-6,800.
Gram Rs 4,300-4,400, Gram dal (local) Rs 4,600-5,000, best quality Rs 5,000-5,100, Besan (35 kg), Shakti bhog Rs 2,000, Rajdhani Rs 2,000, Rajma Chitra Rs 6,250-8,450, Kabuli Gram small Rs 4,800-5,600, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 3,400-3,600, Peas white Rs 4,200-4,250 and green Rs 4,300-4,400.
