Bharathiar University here is establishing a new Department of History and Tourism, which will offer Masters Post Graduate Program in History from this academic year.
The course would bebeneficial to those aiming for employment in higher education as well as State and Central Government offices since the course content of this program was framed to meet the requirements of the exams for such employment, a Varsity release said todauy.
Since Anna lAS Academy and the University jointly offer coaching programs for civil service examinations, the students pursuing Masters Degree in History will be provided opportunity to get trained from this Academy, it said.
