A senior police officer posted here has been chosen for President's gallantry award for showing bravery in freeing a trader from a kidnapper.
"Arun Kumar Singh,who is posted here as SP (rural) has been selected for gallantry award of President for his commendable courage and determination shown in Bareli as Police circle officer city (CO city) in the encounter of Hasin alias Bunti of Ferozabad," a senior police officer said.
Singh will be presented the gallantry medal at a special function held by the state government.
