A student of GLA University was killed and three others were injured when they clashed with a group of devotees here, police said today.
The incident took place last night when the devotees were going to pay obeisance at a temple. Some students of the university reportedly joined the devotees despite objection from them, which led to an argument.
Soon a clash ensued in which the students were attacked with sword, police said, adding that one diploma student, Yatish, died on the spot while three others were injured.
The injured -- Praveen, Aashu, Shiva -- have been admitted to a hospital. A case has been registered and further probe is on, police said.
