Matriculation exams likely to begin by Feb-end in Odisha

The annual High School Certificate (HSC) Examination or the Matriculation examination in the state is likely to begin in the last week of February next year.

This was indicated by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha president Dr D P Nanda here today

"The exact dates of the examination will be finalised during the Board members' meeting scheduled on November 21," Nanda said adding the Board was prepared to begin the two-week long examination in the last week of February as was done last year.

Nanda further disclosed that all reform measures like fixing the exam centres in same school, 50 per cent objective questions to be answered on OMR sheets and security envelops to carry the question-cum-answer sheets for the subjective questions shall continue this year too.
 

The Board expects more than six lakh students to appear for the examinations in both Regular and Ex-regular streams this time.
