The "X-Men: First Class" director has confirmed that "Kingsman: The Secret Service" sequel is in the works.

"Kingsman: The Secret Service" has become a smashing hit after it earned USD 400 million worldwide, reported Ace Showbiz.

"Well, the good news is that I'm writing it next door at the moment. If I think I can get the script good enough, then we are making it. We are doing our damndest to make that happen," he said.

Vaughn has been rarely interested to work on follow-ups to his own movies.

"I have to feel inspired and that I'm doing something different, and pushing my boundaries. Sequels normally you're doing more of the same.

"I'm trying to reinvent how to do a sequel at the moment, and it's tough," said Vaughn, explaining why he had stayed away from follow-ups to his movies.

"Kingsman: The Secret Service" is based on the comic book entitled "The Secret Service", written by Mark Millar.
