Punjab and Haryana mostly witnessed normal temperatures today but sweltered under high humidity levels.
Chandigarh, the joint capital of the two states, recorded a high of 35.3 degrees Celsius, according to a Met department report.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 35.1 degrees Celsius, and recorded 5.2 mm of rainfall.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 35.4 degrees Celsius, one degree above the normal while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded their maximums at 35.3 degrees Celsius and 35.6 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The MeT department has predicted rain or thundershowers at isolated places over the next two days.
