Chandigarh received light rain and recorded a maximum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal, the meteorological department said.
In Haryana, Ambala registered a high of 30.7 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal while Hisar recorded a maximum of 34.5 degrees Celsius, two below normal.
Karnal's maximum settled at 31 degrees Celsius, down two notches, while Narnaul recorded a maximum of 34 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a maximum of 28.7 degrees Celsius, five notches below normal.
Ludhiana recorded a maximum of 29.8 degrees, three notches below normal while Patiala's maximum was 30.4 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal.
Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in the two states on Thursday and Friday, according to the Met department forecast.
