Max temperatures drop marginally in Punjab, Haryana

Maximum temperatures today dropped marginally below normal levels at several places in Punjab and Haryana.

Union Territory Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 37.3 degrees Celsius while the city had a rainfall of 1.2 mm, a MeT department report said today.

In Punjab, Amritsar and Ludhiana settled at 37.5 degrees Celsius and 35.9 degrees Celsius, down by two degrees each below normal. Patiala recorded maximum temperature at 38 degrees Celsius.

In Haryana, Ambala, Bhiwani and Karnal recorded their maximums at 37.3 degrees Celsius, 38.6 degrees Celsius and 36.6 degrees Celsius respectively. Narnaul and Hisar had maximum of 39.3 degrees Celsius and 39.5 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal.
