Maximum temperatures dipped across Punjab and Haryana after the states witnessed light showers today.
Union Territory Chandigarh recorded a high of 34 degrees Celsius, down by five notches against the normal, a MeT department report said here.
Ambala recorded a high of 33.4 degrees Celsius and Hisar's maximum settled eight notches below normal limits at 34.5 degrees Celsius.

Karnal recorded a maximum of 31 degrees Celsius, also eight degrees below the normal.
Ludhiana in Punjab recorded a high of 32.5 degrees Celsius, down by eight notches against the normal. Patiala registered a high of 34.2 degrees Celsius and Amritsar 38.3 degrees Celsius.
The MeT has forecast that dry weather will prevail in the two states tomorrow.
