Max temperatures hover above normal in Pb, Haryana

Maximum temperatures today hovered above normal levels in Punjab and Haryana.

The Union Territory of Chandigarh had a high of 35.5 degree Celsius, up by two degrees above normal, a Met department report said.

Among other places in Haryana, Ambala and Karnal had maximums of 34.6 degree Celsius and 35 degree Celsius, up by two notches above normal while Hisar and Narnaul settled at 39.3 degree Celsius and 36.5 degree Celsius, up by three degrees above normal.

In Punjab, Patiala's maximum was up by four degrees above normal and settled at 36.7 degree Celsius while Ludhiana and Amritsar recorded highs of 35.2 degree Celsius and 36.8 degree Celsius respectively.
 

Met department in its forecast said weather will remain dry in Punjab and Haryana in next 24 hours.
