Max temperatures hover above normal in Punjab, Haryana

Maximum temperatures hovered two degrees Celsius above normal in most parts of Punjab and Haryana today.

The maximum temperatures hovered between one degree Celsius to two notches above normal in most parts of Punjab and Haryana, the MeT office said here.

Hisar settled at a high of 36.9 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal.

While the maximum temperature at Amritsar was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal, the day temperature at Ludhiana was 35 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.

Patiala had a high of 34.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal followed by 34.3 degrees Celsius at Chandigarh, one notch above normal and 34.1 degrees Celsius at Ambala, also one notch above normal.
 

The MeT forecast light to moderate rains at isolated places in the region tomorrow.
