Sultry weather conditions today prevailed at most places in Haryana and Punjab and temperatures hovered above the normal limit, a Met Department report said.
Union Territory Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius, two notches above the normal, it said here.
In Haryana, hot weather conditions prevailed in Hisar and Narnaul, which recorded maximum temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius and 38.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Ambala recorded a maximum of 35.9 degrees Celsius, up three notches against the normal, while Karnal's maximum settled at 34.8 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 36.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above the normal limit.
Ludhiana recorded a high of 36.4 degrees Celsius, up three notches against the normal while Patiala's maximum settled at 35.6 degrees Celsius, three degrees above the normal.
The Met has forecast possibility of rain or thundershowers at a few places in the two states, including Chandigarh over the next two days.
