Max temps rise in HP, thunderstorm predicted in next two days

Maximum temperatures rose by a few degrees in Himachal Pradesh today, even as the MeT office predicted thunderstorm and squall at isolated places in mid and lower hills of the state for the next two days.

Una was hottest in the region with maximum temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius, while Sundernagar and Nahan recorded a high of 28.7 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius respectively.

Bhuntar recorded a high of 26.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Solan 26.2 degrees Celsius, Shimla 21.7 degrees Celsius, Dharmshala 20.6 degrees Celsius and Kalpa 15.8 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said.

Minimum temperatures also rose marginally and Keylong and Kalpa in tribal Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur districts recorded a low of minus 4.6 degrees Celsius and 1 degree Celsius respectively.
 

Manali registered a low of 3.2 degrees Celsius, while in Shimla the minimum temperature was 10 degrees Celsius.
