The maximum temperature today hovered around normal across Punjab and Haryana.
Chandigarh recorded a high of 34.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal, said the MeT Department.
In Punjab, Amritsar's maximum settled at 33.8 degrees Celsius, while Ludhiana recorded a high of 32.1 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal, and Patiala 34.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal.

According to the MeT Department, rains or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the two states over the next few days.
