Union Territory of Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 35.4 degrees Celsius, as per the MeT department's report.
Hisar in Haryana registered a high of 34.3 degrees Celsius, down two notches against normal after light rains, while Ambala recorded a maximum of 34.5 degrees Celsius.

The MeT department has predicted rain and thunder showers at many places in both state over the next couple of days.
