People in Punjab and Haryana got slight relief from the hot weather conditions today as maximum temperatures dropped slightly, with light rains lashing a few places in the region.
Chandigarh had partially overcast sky and recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degree Celsius, four notches below normal, the local MeT Department report said, forecasting rain in the city tomorrow.
In Haryana, Ambala received slight rainfall and recorded a high of 35 degree Celsius, down three degrees.

Narnaul's high settled at 33.5 degree Celsius, down seven notches.
In Punjab, Amritsar registered a high of 34.3 degree Celsius, three degrees below normal.
Patiala also received some showers and recorded a high of 35.3 degree Celsius, down three notches while Ludhiana's maximum temperature settled at 35.7 degree Celsius.
According to the MeT forecast for next two days, dust storm/thunderstorm with light to moderate rains would occur at isolated places in Punjab and Haryana, with maximum temperatures likely to fall further slightly.
