Maximum temperatures hover close to normal in Pb, Haryana

Maximum temperatures today hovered close to normal levels in most parts of Haryana and Punjab.

Chandigarh recorded a maximum of 39.8 degrees Celsius, which was within the normal limits, the MeT office said.

Ambala in Haryana recorded a high of 40.1 degrees Celsius while maximum temperatures in Hisar and Karnal settled at 42.2 degrees Celsius and 40.4 degrees Celsius respectively, both within normal limits.

In Punjab, Amritsar's maximum was 41.1 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana recorded a high of 40 degrees Celsius.

Patiala recorded a maximum temperature of 41.6 degrees Celsius.
