Maximum temperatures hover close to normal levels in Punjab, Haryana

The maximum temperatures hovered close to normal levels in most parts of Punjab and Haryana today.

UT Chandigarh, the joint capital of both states, registered its maximum temperature at 33.2 degrees Celsius, according to the MeT Department here.

Among other places in Haryana, Ambala, Karnal and Narnaul recorded their maximum temperatures at 33.7, 34 and 35 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Hisar recorded a high of 38.9 degrees Celsius, up three notches against normal limits.

In Punjab, Amritsar's maximum temperature settled at 35.6 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures at 33.8 and 35.1 degrees Celsius, respectively.
