Maximum temperatures in normal limits in Punjab, Haryana

Maximum temperatures today hovered close to normal level at most places in Punjab and Haryana, the MeT Department said.

Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal, it said.

In Haryana, Ambala recorded a maximum of 34 degrees Celsius while mercury in Hisar settled at 36.2 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature in Karnal was recorded at 33 degrees Celsius.

Amritsar in Punjab recorded a maximum of 34.5 degrees Celsius while mercury in Ludhiana and Patiala settled at 34.6 and 34.7 degrees Celsius respectively.

The weatherman has predicted that the weather is likely to remain dry in the the two states for the 24 hours.
