Maximum temperatures rise in Himachal Pradesh

The mercury maintained a rising trend in Himachal Pradesh as maximum temperatures stayed four to eight notches above normal with Una recording a high of 37 degrees Celsius.

Sundernagar and Bhuntar recorded maximum temperatures of of 32.9 degrees Celsius and 32.3 degrees Celsius respectively, followed by Nahan 31.7 degrees Celsius, Solan 30.7 degrees Celsius and Dharmshala 27.6 degrees Celsius.

Shimla recorded a high of 25.1 degrees Celsius, while Manali and Kalpa recorded maximum temperatures of 23 degrees Celsius and 22.2 degrees Celsius, the weatherman said.

There was no significant change in minimum temperatures and Keylong in tribal Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest with a low of 0.4 degrees Celsius, followed by Kalpa 6.4 degrees Celsius, Manali 6.6 degrees Celsius and Bhuntar 11.2 degrees Celsius.
 

The MeT department has predicted rains or snow in mid and higher hills, and thundershowers and rains at a few places in the lower hills for the next few days.
