Mayank made General Manager finance of UPCA instead of CEO

Under pressure from several quarters, UPCA was today forced to withdraw the proposal to create a new post of CEO for Director Jyoti Vajpayee's son Mayank.

The junior Vajpayee has now been made General Manager (Finance) by the Working Committee of the cricket Association.

Already former Ranji cricketer Rohit Talwar is sitting on the post of General Manager.

UPCA Secretary Rajeev Shukla clarified that Talwar will look after the Operations while Mayank will take care of financial matters of the Association.

Shukla also said that very soon the the process to take over the Green Parkl stadium from the state government will be completed as a Memorandum of Understanding is being prepared.
 

He also informed that a land has been purchased to develop a cricket academy.
