BSP supremo Mayawati today said the NDA government's assertion that no ministers will resign from the cabinet has exposed the Centre's arrogant character.
"The arrogant attitude of Narendra Modi government that it was not UPA is not only sad but also unfortunate," Mayawati said in a statement issued here.
The government had yesterday rejected Congress demand for resignation of Union ministers Sushma Swaraj and Smriti Irani over 'Lalitgate' and 'fake degree' controversies, saying "our ministers do not do all that their (UPA's) ministers used to do".

Reacting to this, Mayawati said that the stand taken by the Centre on Swaraj and Raje's help to former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi, who is facing serious charges of financial irregularities, has exposed the BJP-led government.
She alleged that the BJP and Narendra Modi government has become defensive and is on the backfoot on the 'Lalitgate' controversy and is not ready to accept its mistake and take proper legal action.
Terming the "humanitarian" reason given for helping Lalit Modi as "weak logic", the BSP chief said, "They are unable to give a satisfactory answer to the people that why External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj helped Lalit Modi...Overlooking country's interest and its law".
She also questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence on Smriti Irani's 'fake degree' controversy and demanded a stern legal action against the union minister as was done in case of Delhi Law Minister.
