BSP chief Mayawati today raked up Muzaffarnagar riots to attack arch rival Samajwadi Party, saying the Supreme Court had indicted the Uttar Pradesh government for the communal violence in the state.

Addressing an election rally at Sikandrabad town here today, Mayawati said there was no riot in Uttar Pradesh during her four terms as the Chief Minister and claimed BSP alone was capable of giving good governance.

Even the Supreme Court has held the state government responsible for the communal violence at Muzaffarnagar and Shamli which damaged the century-old relation of trust between communities living there, she said.

The Muslims have been big sufferers in these riots, she said.

Attacking BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Mayawati said he was responsible for riots in Gujarat in 2002 and cautioned Muslims against voting for him.

The BJP and SP candidates in Bulandshahr(R) and Gautam Buddh Nagar constituencies would have their securities forfeited if the Muslims voted for BSP, she said.

Mayawati said if voted to power, she would implement recommendations of the Sachar Committee, formed to study social, economic and educational condition of the Muslim community of India.
