BSP president Mayawati today met with Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik at the Raj Bhawan here and discussed various issues concerning the state, including the law and order situation.
Mayawati's courtesy meeting with the Governor lasted for over 45 minutes during which she apprised him about the situation of law and order, power, drought and flood in the state, Raj Bhawan release said.
Mayawati, whose party has been demanding President's rule over law and order situation and rising cases of crime against women, is believed to have given a detailed account regarding this.
Earlier, the Governor had met leaders of different political parties, including BJP President Amit Shah, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and Congress's Rita Bahuguna Joshi.
