MBBS aspirant, who failed entrance exam, kills self

A 23-year-old MBBS aspirant, who failed to clear the entrance exam, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Siyani Gate area today.

Sanjay Bhardwaj was found hanging from a ceiling fan of his room by his parents at their residence in Ram Nagar area in the morning, a senior police officer said.

In a suicide note recovered from the spot, Sanjay said he was taking the extreme step because he could not clear the MBBS entrance exam, police said.

He also wrote in the note that he wanted to end his life last month, but shifted the day due to his sister's birthday on May 23, police said.
 

Post mortem has been conducted on the body and further investigation is on, officer added.
