Complaints have been filed against candidates of Aam Aadmi Party and BJP from Delhi for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct on polling day.
Rakhi Birla, AAP candidate from North West Delhi, has been accused of wearing a cap representing her party, while Parvesh Saheb Singh Verma, BJP nominee from West Delhi, was accused of wearing a badge with the picture of a party leader yesterday as Lok Sabha polls were held across the national capital.
Officials at the Delhi's Chief Electoral Office received the complaints today and are examining the matter.
"We have received complaints against Birla and Verma. We are examining the matter to decide on the further course of action," an officer said.
