The 42-year-old actor proposed to Alves, 29, who is the mother of two of his children in December last year and the couple has been busy planning their wedding since then, reported Femalefirst.
The couple was in South America earlier this month for McConaughey's photoshoot and reportedly looked for possible wedding venues in Sao Paulo during their free time.
"Matthew and Camila were scoping out venues in Brazil. Camila is definitely the one in control of the wedding planning," a source said.
"Matthew likes to act as if she's 'dragging' him here and there, but really he enjoys it. Camila always dreamed of getting married in Brazil, and Matthew didn't need much convincing. He would pretty much do anything for her," the source added.
McConaughey met Alves, a Brazilian model and television performer in 2007 and they have two children, son Levi and daughter Vida. The two currently live in the actor's home in Texas. PTI CORR JCH
