Mohammedan Sporting today conferred its Lifetime Achievement award to former captain Moidul Islam during their Iftar party celebrations here today.
Under Islam's captaincy, Mohammedan Sporting had won the Kolkata League title the last time in 1981.
"It was the best phase in the history of the club. I'm overwhelmed to receive this honour," the 59-year-old said about the club that qualified for the Premier Division for the first time since 2009.
Last year, Mohammedan Sporting had honoured John Victor, while Mohammed Habib was the recipient of the first Lifetime Achievement in 2011.
