A lone MDMK member in the City Corporation Council today joined DMK, along with his supporters.
Rajendran, representing 58th Ward, left the party to join DMK, in the presence of DMK Coimbatore Urban District Secretary Nachimuthu at a function.
Some 100 followers also joined DMK, along with the councillor, DMK sources said.
The City Corporation has 100 wards and more than 80 are represented by AIADMK.
