Mechanised boat fishermen from here today resumed fishing after 15 days.
Harbour Mechanised Boat Fishermen's association President Devadoss said though the fishermen and the boats,detained by the Sri Lankan navy, had not been released, they were putting out to sea as the fishermen were starving, and they had no other option.
He also wanted the Indian and Lankan governments to find an amicable solution to help fishermen of both countries fish peacefully in the Palk Strait.
