Medanta Group to invest Rs 1,500 crore in next five years

Medanta Group today said it is working on a plan to set up five hospitals in next five years with an investment of Rs 1,500 crore.

"We have a plan to open five hospitals in next five years with an investment Rs 1,500 crore," Medanta Group Founder Chairman Dr Naresh Trehan told reporters after inauguration of their super-speciality hospital here.

The renowned cardiac surgeon said they want to open their ultra-modern hospitals in Lucknow, Patna, Jaipur and Mumbai and abroad as well.

He said they have invested more than Rs 60 crore to start the 160-bedded hospital here and have plans to expand it to a 500-bed units in next 2-3 years with an estimated investment of Rs 600 crore.
