Medical officer arrested

A medical officer posted at a community health centre in Haryana's Jind district was held today for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 3,000 from a person.

Vigilance Bureau sleuths caught Sanjeev Kumar Deswal red-handed while he was accepting the money against issuing a medico-legal report.

He was booked under Prevention of Corruption Act, a bureau spokesperson said.
