Medical officer held for taking bribe in Maharashtra

A medical officer attached with Teklatala Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Sironcha teshil of Gadchiroli district was arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 9,000 by sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB)

The accused - Sukhdev Madhavrao Karewad had demanded Rs 10,000 from a suspended supervisor for clearing his TA bills, an ACB release said today.

Following a complaint, a trap was laid yesterday and he was caught while accepting the bribe amount. He was later arressted, it said.
