"The medical report has indicated that three more girls of the residential school might have been raped," SP Rahul Bhagat told PTI.
According to police, medical examination has so far confirmed rape of nine out of the 40 inmates of the hostel located in Jhaliyamari village.
"Out of four more girls examined, three girls were suspected to have been raped while report of another one was awaited," he said.
Six persons, including two teachers, have been arrested in this connection.
"We have asked the medical team to mention clearly everything in the reports so that it can support us in the investigation process," Bhagat said.
Member of National Commission for Scheduled Tribes K Kamla Kumari visited the village and interacted with the inmates. She also took stock of the investigation in the case, he said.

Meanwhile, political parties across the spectrum, including ruling BJP and Opposition Congress, besides social organisations and students' bodies have condemned the crime and sought stringent punishment for the perpetrators.
Police yesterday arrested superintendent of the residential school Babita Markam, contract teacher Sagar Katlam, deputy sarpanch of the village Sukalu Ram Netam and a villager Lachhu for allegedly abetting the crime and another contract teacher Mannu Ram Gota (24) and school watchman Deenaram on Sunday for allegedly raping the minor inmates.
