Medicine to prevent malaria to be distributed in Chhattisgarh

Under the campaign, homoeopathic medicines will be administered door-to-door by Mitanin workers, a government official said.

Home Minister Nankiram Kanwar launched the campaign yesterday from Mainpur development block of Gariyaband, the official said.

The decision to distribute homoeopathic medicines was taken as it effectively prevented malaria, the official said, adding that it can be taken simultaneously with allopathic medicines.

According to a homoeopathy expert of the capital, the medicine called Hingora is very effective in preventing malaria. Besides, it has no side effects and anyone can take the dose.

Earlier, medicines were distributed in Korba district for its preliminary testing and after witnessing successful results there, the state government decided to extend it to other places, the official added.
