Small sugar ruled steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.
Medium sugar (M-30) inched up by Re 1 per quintal to Rs 3,717/3,852 from Wednesday's close of Rs 3,716/3,852.
Small sugar (S-30) closed unchanged at Rs 3,622/3,712 per quintal.
