Meerut IG concerned over rising crime rate in Noida

A senior police officer of Meerut division today reviewed the law and order situation of Gautam Buddh Nagar and expressed concern over the rising crime rate in the district.

Meerut Division Inspector General Alok Sharma, after holding a meeting with G B Nagar senior police officers, directed them to take measures to check the rising crime rate in the district, officials said.

Sharma directed the police officers to make regular contacts with RWAs and village pradhans and resolve the local issues before it flare up into major crime.

Noida Senior Superintendent of Police Preetinder Singh, Superintendent of Police (rural) Brijesh Singh, Superintendent of Police (City) Yogesh Singh, Superintendent of Police (Crime) Sunita Singh and deputy superintendents of police of all the circles were present at the meeting.
