A day after being removed from the post, Meerut SSP Onkar Singh was today posted as DIG, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited.
The state government has yesterday transferred 94 IPS officers, including district police chiefs of several districts.
But, in a late development, the state government either shifted or cancelled transfer orders of 20 IPS officers.
The Meerut SSP was in the news of late for spate of crimes and was removed in a late night development yesterday and SP, Shamli, Subhash Singh Baghel, has been posted in his place.
