About 6,000 books on agriculture and allied sectors are on display at the three-day Mega Book Fair which began today at the Tamil Nadu Agriculture University here.
About 30 publishers and book sellers all over the country are taking part in the fair, beneficial for students and researchers, and in which a special discount of 20 per cent is being offered.
University Vice-Chancellor, K Ramasamy inaugurated the fair and unveiled a portrait of S R Ranganathan, Father of Indian Library Science at the premises.
The university instituted "institutional Membersship" with British Council for mutual exchange of books and publications.
