Meghalaya CM inaugurates employment-linked vocational project

Initiated by the BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA), the programme is supported by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and its corporate partners.

Inaugurating the programme, Sangma said this is the beginning for BSF to open the avenues of participation with border population.

Lauding the paramilitary force's initiatives, the chief minister complimented BSF's Vocational Training Programme on garment manufacture and termed it as a new initiative.

At present the NSDC and the BSF are running the employment-linked vocational training tutorials at three locations -- New Delhi, Shillong and Tura.
