Meghalaya police today shortlisted 10 'most-wanted' militants operating in the Garo Hills region and West Khasi Hills region of the state and announced reward of Rs 10 lakh for any lead information that will facilitate of their arrest.
"The police department seeks actionable intelligence against the most-wanted militants operating in various parts of the state," public relations officer (PRO) of Meghalaya police said in a statement issued here.
"Any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of any of the militants listed by the police will be rewarded a cash award of Rs 10 lakh," the statement said.

According to list provided by the police, most of the militants belongs to the banned Garo rebel outfit, the Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) and its splinter group, the Achik Matgrik Elite Force (AMEF).
Given along with photographs, the list featured the names of GNLA top leaders which include Zen Robert Ch Marak, Baichung Ch Momin, Rikchi Ch Marak, Kennedy T Sangma, Rakban D Shira, Ajan Ch Momin, Hedeo Ch Momin and Kiljang R Sangma.
The other two most wanted militants listed by the police are Jack Marak and Chesrang D Sangma alias Goran of the AMEF. Both of them deserted the GNLA and floated the AMEF.
The names of the informants, whose information led to the arrest of the militants, would be kept 'top secret', the PRO added.
