Meghalaya's Opposition United Democratic Party (UDP) has written to Centre listing various alleged misdeeds of the Mukul Sangma-led Meghalaya United Alliance government, seeking its immediate intervention.
"We have written to the Centre highlighting the major points which we consider as deep-rooted-flaws of this government," UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh told journalists at a press conference this evening.
"We want the Union government to intervene immediately as these have had a detrimental effect on the people and polity of the state and shaken their confidence in their law makers as well as the system," Lyngdoh said.
The UDP has also drawn the attention of the President and the Centre on the prolong delay with regards to the construction of the new Assembly building of the state.
