Mehbooba inaugurates women entrepreneurship centres in J-K

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today e-inaugurated two centres for women entrepreneurship in the state, an official spokesperson said.

The chief minister had laid the foundation stone for the women EntrepreneurshipDevelopment Institute(EDI),Jammu in July last year and its first phase has been almost completed, the spokesman said.

The women's EDI, Srinagar has been established at the erstwhile premises of Directorate of Industries and Commerce.

The facilities available at these centres include information and awareness about various business-related schemes, incentives and other benefits, the official spokesman said.

Complimenting the women entrepreneurs of the twin capitals, Mehbooba hoped that these centres would become a hub of information and activities for them.
 

The aim of setting up these centres is to motivate and encourage women entrepreneurs and make them aware about the schemes, incentives and other facilities for doing business in the state, he said.
