Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today reviewed law and order situation in the valley and directed the administration to arrange free food-grains to the poor families and ensure smooth conduct of NEET exam "at all costs".
"The Chief Minister took overall review of the law and order situation and stock and supply position in the valley at a high level meeting here," an official spokesman said.
Forty-three people were killed and scores of others injured in the ongoing unrest in the valley triggered by the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani early this month.

The spokesman said the Chief Minister asked the divisional administration to arrange free food-grains for poorest of the poor families who were getting rations under Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and whose bread-winners are not able to earn anything because of the prevailing law and order situation in Kashmir.
"Arrange free rations to all AAY families across the valley and ensure distribution of the same to such families effectively through Mohalla Committees.
"We should ensure that no such family which depends on day-to-day earnings for their bread and butter should suffer for want of food because of the prevailing law and order situation," the Chief Minister said.
In a separate direction, the Chief Minister asked the Chief Secretary that adequate arrangements should be made for smooth conduct of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) on July 24 in Kashmir.
"If the two educational institutions identified as examination centres for NEET are unable to provide adequate staff for the smooth conduct of the examination, alternate staff should be arranged for the same, but the examination should be conducted within the Valley at all costs," Mehbooba said.
Earlier, the Chief Secretary had informed the meeting that due to non-availability of the local staff, the NEET examination centres may have to be shifted to winter capital Jammu, the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, the state government has established special facilitation centers for aspirants scheduled to appear in the NEET by Central Board of Secondary Education.
The Special facilitation centers will assist the aspirants for receiving their admit card for appearing the examination and other assistance required, the spokesman said.

He said these centers have been established in Srinagar, Anantnag, Bandipora, Baramulla, Budgam, Pulwama, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Kulgam and Shopian in view of difficulty being faced by students due to law and order situation, and also for Leh and Kargil district to facilitate the students of these districts scheduled to appear in Jammu and Srinagar centers.
Nodal officers have also been appointed in Deputy Commissioners offices for assisting the NEET aspirants.
"District NIC Centers located in office premises of Deputy Commissioner office of all the districts can be approached by the students for receiving their admit cards.
Similar services have also been made available in Community Information Centers in some districts," the spokesman said.
Assistance for NEET has also been made available at CICs located at Larkipora, Hiller Shahbad, Khoveripora Mattan, Qazigund, Vessu, Bijbehara and Shungus in Anantnag, and at CICs of Pulwama, Rajpora, Tral and and Pampore in Pulwama in south Kashmir, the spokesman said.
He said deputy commissioner of all 10 districts of valley will be personally supervising the arrangements to assist the students in obtaining necessary documents for appearing in NEET and also for reaching the examination centers.
"Candidates have been advised to approach the Nodal Officers, Special Facilitation Centers, NIC and DC office of the respective district, for any kind of assistance required to appear in the NEET examination," the spokesman said.
