Mel Gibson, Vince Vaughn to star together as cops

Actors Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn will star together in crime thriller "Dragged Across Concrete", which will is based on police brutality.

The duo will play cops who are suspended for practicing strong-arm tactics, when a video incriminating them goes viral, reported Variety.

The film will be directed by S Craig Zahler.

Talking about how he puts the lead actors in trouble through his writing, Zahler said "he is absolutely thrilled to have Mel and Vince agree to play the lead roles".

Vaughn also starred in another Zahler-directed film called "Brawl in Cell Block 99", alongside Jennifer Carpenter and Don Johnson.
 

Recently, Vaughn starred as a sergeant in "Hacksaw Bridge", which was directed by Gibson.

The film has received six Oscar nominations, including best picture and best director.
