A flier was today held at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) for allegedly travelling with seven live bullets in his baggage.
Officials said the incident was reported at about 7:40 AM when a passenger, bound for Pune, was intercepted by CISF personnel in the terminal area after his baggage scan led to the recovery of live rounds.
"Seven live bullets of .32 calibre were recovered from the hand baggage of a person identified as Devendra Kumar. He could not produce valid documents for carrying the ammunition and hence was handed over to police," they said.
Carrying of arms and ammunition is banned under aviation law in India.
